Learning Day was an opportunity for parents to step into the rhythm of the child’s experience at C&C, embracing the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach. Parents participated as co-learners, engaging in thoughtfully designed provocations that invited curiosity, exploration, and dialogue. Together with the children, they sang, collaborated in playful inquiry, and explored the environment and created special memories through spending time with their children, engaged with them in their favourite corners.
The day unfolded through rich, hands-on experiences—making pancakes, constructing robots, and designing patterns on animal forms—each activity encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and symbolic expression. Explorations extended into understanding animal habitats, such as polar and desert environments, fostering connections to the natural world.
Children and parents also engaged with light and shadow, creating representations of melting ice, which opened conversations about transformation and environmental awareness. Throughout the day, the learning journey reflected the Reggio emphasis on relationships, multiple forms of expression, and a deepened understanding of “sharing the planet” as a collective responsibility.
